We built the spin wheel we wished existed
Gamified popups are everywhere. Honest ones that can prove their worth are rare. Profiter is our answer: a wheel shoppers love and a number you can trust.
Every spin-to-win app can tell you how many people played. Almost none can tell you whether playing actually made the store money. Discounts cost margin. Shipping costs cash. A big "conversion rate" on a popup can quietly hide a shrinking bottom line.
We think that's the wrong way round. So we started from a single question: did the wheel add profit, compared to not showing it at all? Answering it honestly meant keeping a holdout group who never see the wheel, measuring profit per visitor on both sides, and only calling a winner when the statistics agree.
Everything else — the six themes, the delightful spin, the auto-applied codes — exists to make that honest measurement something shoppers enjoy being part of.

Four principles we won't bend on
Truth lives on the server
Prize outcomes are decided server-side with a secure RNG. The browser only animates the result. Fairness isn't a setting; it's the architecture.
No dark patterns
Consent is never pre-ticked. Odds are honest. Data is minimized. Shoppers who say no are respected — and that's better for your brand too.
Fun for everyone
Keyboard support, ARIA semantics, reduced-motion and AA contrast ship by default, because a delightful wheel shouldn't lock anyone out.

Pure, tested logic
Prize allocation, experiment bucketing and profit math live in unit-tested functions — the same code the app runs.
Secrets stay server-side
Access tokens never touch the browser. The storefront talks to us only through Shopify's signed App Proxy.
Real compliance
Shopify's data-request, redact and shop-redact webhooks perform genuine export and deletion — not just a checkbox.
